ENGLISH 103
English 103 is a course in which students will be assessed on their production and writing skills and knowledge and understanding of texts.
It consists entirely of Unit Standards and Achievement Standards and is a mix of practical and theoretical work.
The entire course of 17credits is internally assessed.
The internal assessments will require students to fill in forms, write personal correspondence, read and view a range of texts and record their responses, deliver an oral presentation and produce a media or dramatic presentation.
Each internally assessed standard is assessed at its completion.
English is studied for four hours per week.
