Entry to NCEA? What Entry?
Entering NCEA
Students are automatically entered for all Standards that form part of the courses they are studying.
In June they are given a list of these and asked to confirm their entries.
At this point they can withdraw from any Standards they do not wish to enter.
In Term 3 they are given an Invoice to pay for their entry.
Entries for externally assessed Standards cannot be made after mid
September. A date for this is fixed each year by NZQA. Students are told this date. It is published in newsletters and on the College website
NCEA Fees
NCEA costs $75 to enter. This is the fee regardless of the number of
Standards being entered.
This fee also includes three Scholarship examination entries. Additional Scholarship entries cost $75 each
NCEA entry fees must be paid by mid September date. After this a late fee of $50 is charged.
The NCEA entry fee for International Students is $375. Scholarship entries cost $100 per subject.
Reduced Fees
NCEA fees are reduced to $20 if parents have;
A Work and Income Benefit
A Study Link Benefit
A Community Services card.
A form for this available from the College from Mr Greenbrook. It is also on the NZQA website.
If parents have two or more children entering NCEA the fees are also different.
If a family qualifies for reduced fees on one of the criteria above, the maximum fee is $30.
If a family does not qualify for reduced fees, the maximum fee is $100.
