Gateway is a programme for Year 11, 12 and 13 students that lets them experience a particular career while they are still at school.
While they are in the work place they can pass employment related Unit Standards that can be used in future employment related qualifications as well as the NCEA.
It does take them out of school one day a week for a up to a term.
We expect them to maintain their studies in their school courses while they are on this Gateway experience.
Employment and Pre– Employment Courses
We can also place students in pre-employment courses.
These courses give students a background in an employment area and then assist them in to full time employment .
We also have a number of job opportunities through the year and can place students in employment.
