
Getting an NCEA
To be awarded NCEA Level 1
Students must accumulate 80 credits at Level 1.
The 80 credits must include at least:
8 Literacy credits at Level 1
8 Numeracy credits at Level 1
The credits can be collected from any Achievement Standard or Unit Standard.
To be awarded NCEA Level 2
Students must accumulate 60 credits at Level 2 plus
20 credits from any Level.
The 20 credits from any Level can include credits counted for Level 1.
In other words credits can be counted towards more than one qualification.
The credits can be collected from any Achievement Standard or Unit Standard.
To be awarded NCEA Level 3
Students must accumulate 60 credits at Level 3 plus
20 credits from any Level.
The 20 credits from any Level can include credits counted for Level 1 or 2
In other words credits can be counted towards more than one qualification.
The credits can be collected from any Achievement Standard or Unit Standard.
BUT
UE requires special care.
Not all Standards count.
