Getting to University or Polytech
To get in to a University and Polytech degree course a student must have UE.
Without UE, admission to University and Polytech degree courses is very difficult.
You must understand how to get UE. This is very important. It’s really important!
It is not the same as getting NCEA Level 3.
Not all standards can be used to get UE.
Not all Level 3 courses are UE courses.
You must check your course choices carefully
University Entrance (UE)
To get University Entrance each student must have these credits:
42 Level 3 credits made up as follows;
14 credits from a Level 3 course
14 credits from another Level 3 course
14 credits from two more Level 3 subjects added together
8 Level 2 English credits made up as follows;
4 reading credits
4 writing credits
14 Level 1 Maths credits
