Horticulture 301
The Horticulture 301 course is made up of three external and two internal achievement standard (ie 5 units of work).
The course involves a mix of theoretical and practical work, in respect to economically significant export oriented crops.
The course requires students to link up with a commercial horticultural enterprise and learn the production and marketing processes involved with that crop from initial planting to final harvesting and marketing. This aspect of the course fulfils the homework requirements for the year.
