
Mechanical Engineering 102
Mechanical engineering 102 is a course in which students will be assessed on their ability to work safely in the workshop, applying processes and techniques using metal and plastic materials technology, also including basic maths and design.
This subject is studied for 4 hours per week, approx 3 of which are practical lessons.
The course consists entirely of Unit Standards. The three core units total 24 credits toward the final qualification.16 additional credits from NCEA or other elective unit standards can be used to complete the 40 credits required for the National Certificate.
Students work is moderated by Competenz at the end of the year.
