How Flexible?
Schools can use any Standard in a course that is registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority .
Approval is Required to Teach Each Standard
Schools can teach any Achievement Standard at all with a general approval.
Schools must have approval to teach each Unit Standard.
To get this approval the school must show that it has the appropriately qualified staff and facilities to teach the Unit Standard.
Which Standards Count for NCEA?
Every Standard can count towards the NCEA.
