Pre-requisites
Nearly all our courses have pre-requisites.
Students will not be admitted to a course if they have not met these requirements.
The pre-requisites are in the course outlines in the Senior Course Handbook.
The basic requirement to progress to the next level in a course is 14 credits.
When classes are too big
Some times there are more students wanting to do a course than we have places. When this is the case we have to limit the numbers enrolling in a course.
This is done using the following policy:
“Admission of a student to a course will be at the discretion of the Dean who will consider:
· the student's achievement grades in the relevant course in the previous year,
· their performance points or work habits in that course,
· their achievement grades in other courses,
· their performance points or work habits in other courses,
· and any other relevant factor.
Where courses or classes are oversubscribed, a student's admission to, or continuing presence in, a class will depend on the relative quality of their performance as indicated by the above criteria.”
