Timber Construction Technology Assessment Deadlines:
During the year students will be completing Industry Unit Standards, in partnership with BCITO (Building, Construction, Industry Training Organisation)
BConstructive is a hands-on qualification. It is an innovative, practical and a multi-disciplinary programme, providing you with the skills and knowledge to springboard into any career in the construction industry.
The BConstructive programme is primarily workshop based. Rather than focusing on any one trade the programme builds skills and an understanding of all trades in the construction industry.
This subject is studied for 4 hours per week, approx 3 of which are practical lessons.
The assessment for each of the 5 unit standards will be a mix of practical and theoretical work. Fully ‘internally assessed’ in school i.e. there are no external exams in this subject.
The course is made up of three units of work, and each has Unit Standards which are assessed at its completion.
1st May Unit One Unit Standard 24352 2 credits Assessment is ongoing for the year
Unit Standard 7536 3 credits
21 Aug Unit Two Unit Standard 12927 6 credits Assessment is ongoing for the year
Unit Standard 24355 4 credits
Unit Standard 24356 8 credits
13th November All projects to be completed and all Unit Standards Assessed
