
TOURISM 202
Tourism is a Unit Standards, industry based course, which when completed, will see students gain a National Certificate in Travel and Tourism – Level Two. It is made up of 41 credits, 18 of which are at Level Three.
Generally the course takes two years to complete. However, students may choose to do part of the course in one year to top up their Level Two and Level Three credits.
The subject is studied for 4 hours per week and is an individualised programme, whereby students work at their own pace. Each student’s work is monitored closely by their teacher.
Each unit of work is assessed on completion.
NCEA assessment deadlines:
There are no deadlines as students work on individualised programmes. Teachers monitor students’ progress closely and create individual deadlines for students who are falling behind.
