“Analysed school achievement information indicates an overall upward trend in student achievement since 2007. Achievement data for Years 9 and 10 show that students enter the school achieving at levels lower than national expectations for their age, but that most students make significant shifts in their curriculum levels in their first two years at the school. This improvement is particularly evident in mathematics. Students’ achievement in National Certificates of Educational Achievement (NCEA) is also closely monitored. Achievement in literacy and numeracy and at NCEA Levels 1 and 2 has also improved. A significant increase is evident in the achievement of Maori students, particularly at Levels 1 and 2. The success rates of Maori students in literacy and numeracy are comparable to those of other students. Students continue to benefit from a wide range of academic, sporting, recreational and cultural experiences. Their participation is encouraged and their achievements are celebrated.”                                                                    ERO Report
